Real life. Real families. Real support for ADHD families at home.

My name is Ida Mos. I’m married and a mother of three boys, ages 15, 11, and 8. Two of them have ADHD (and a few extra letters along the way), so life in our home is full, busy, and never boring.
Helping ADHD Kids was created from my own family life.
Everything you’ll find here is based on my personal experience, guidance from a wide range of professionals, and years of learning, reading and searching for practical ways to support children with ADHD at home.
Over time, I’ve learned one important thing – simplicity matters.
When daily life feels overwhelming, both children and parents benefit from clear structure, predictable routines, and visual support. That’s why the tools I created are practical, easy to use, and designed to reduce stress — not add to it.
Like every family, we have good days and harder ones.
As we’ve entered the teenage years, new challenges have appeared, and I’ve had moments where I questioned myself as a parent. I know many parents feel the same way, even if they don’t always talk about it. Let me asure you – you are not alone!
This space exists to remind parents that perfection is not the goal.
Children learn from how we respond, how we regulate ourselves, and how we handle difficult moments. As parents, we are role models — for our children with ADHD and without.
No matter your child’s age, positive change is always possible.
We start by slowing down, taking a breath, and breaking everyday life into simple, manageable steps. From there, we move forward — calmly, thoughtfully, and with compassion.
My hope for all of us — you, me, and our families — is to keep learning, growing, and creating homes where children feel supported and understood.
